mabigat yata un,depende na rin kung ilang images,gaya nung sa sig ni cha,mukha ng buong ginebra players,ewan,baka..

This Avatar and Signature Guidelines i think was triggered by some Posters na gumagamit ng Big PIctures(literally in dimensions). So humahaba ang post nila, nagkakaroon ng clatterings at kumukuha ng attentions yung pictures instead of the post itself.

My point is, we only have to worry about the Length and the Width of our signatures para hindi naman maduming tingnan. Yung Pixel size or bigat ng file, usually nareresize naman yan sa mga Hosts kaya we dont have to worry about that. otherwise, if not resized by host ay MALAKI ang L&W nian so obvious.

About Animated GIFs, di naman sila mabigat ang file size,usually nga maliliit lang ang kb's nian kasi they are designed for viewing not for printing unlike pictures. so again, L&W lang ang titingnan natin. Ilagay lang natin sa 2inches limit at tayoy hindi mabibilanggo ni Sir Admin.

I reviewed the Avatar and Signature guidelines at napansin ko nga, the rules are pertaining to "Still Pictures" , kasi nga sa tingin ko kaya naman nabuo itong topic na to is because of clattering of large and sexy pictures.

Regarding Animated GIFs or videos, usually talaga lalo na kapag cartoons ang animations eh maliit lang ang size, but sa guidelines,it was not mentioned the recommended file size for them. Because pixel sizes are inapplicable sa animations so lusot sa rule ang mga maliliit na animations (in L&W) but in big file size.

Now, take for example yung kay pareng patatas.If we will apply the rule of 360x90 pixel dimension, papatak lang ito ng 60kb, yung sa kanya, pumapalo yung file nia ng 180kb. Bagaman maliit ito sa L&W at pumasok sa 2inches max eh puro pictures ang ginamit nia kaya bumigat ang size. (Dont worry pareng patatas, wala pa naman rule tungkol sa GIFs, kaya walang kaso yung sayo.)

Kung magiging concern ang pagbagal ng pagloload ng page eh dapat marevise ang guidelines.
Muli, ipasok lang natin sa max 2 inches at tayoy walang kaso, not yet....until the guidelines are revised.

PS: etong signature ko is 360x90 60 kb to be exact.
